Essential Requirements:
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in scriptwriting, journalism, research writing, or digital media content creation.
- Exceptional written English with strong grammar and the ability to write in a clear, natural, and conversational style.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to investigate topics related to economic policy, housing markets, government initiatives, and economic developments.
- Strong storytelling ability with an understanding of YouTube audience engagement and retention techniques.
- Ability to work with the Zoom camera open during shift
About the Role:
Outsourced Pro Global is seeking a highly analytical Economic Researcher & Scriptwriter to support one of Australia’s fastest-growing YouTube channels focused on the Australian economy, housing market, and major economic developments.
This role is research-first and writing-second. You will be responsible for identifying important economic and housing developments, conducting deep research across credible sources, analysing multiple viewpoints, and connecting complex developments into clear narratives.
Once the research and analysis are complete, you will translate those insights into engaging, conversational scripts designed for everyday Australian audiences.
The ideal candidate is highly curious, analytical, and capable of synthesising information from news, policy announcements, economic reports, and data sources to identify meaningful stories that impact Australians.
Key Responsibilities:
Research & Analysis
- Conduct in-depth research on the Australian economy, housing market, government policy, and global developments impacting Australia.
- Monitor daily news, economic reports, government announcements, and policy changes to identify relevant and emerging topics.
- Analyse information from multiple credible sources, including news outlets, economic research, data reports, and policy statements.
- Interpret economic data, housing market reports, and policy developments to identify trends, patterns, and key insights.
- Connect multiple developments across economics, housing, and policy to form cohesive story angles.
- Identify timely, relevant topics that align with audience interests and current economic developments.
- Develop strong story angles by synthesising insights from multiple sources.
- Package complex topics into clear and compelling narratives that explain what is happening and why it matters to Australians.
- Proactively suggest new topics and emerging stories that may resonate with the audience.
- Translate research findings into clear, engaging, and well-structured YouTube scripts.
- Simplify complex economic, financial, and housing-related topics into accessible explanations for everyday viewers.
- Maintain the speaker’s natural tone and conversational style to ensure consistency with the brand’s voice.
- Produce a minimum of five high-quality scripts per week while maintaining strong narrative quality and clarity.
- Collaborate with editors, producers, and management to refine scripts and ensure content quality.
- Ensure all scripts align with brand messaging, editorial standards, and the speaker’s delivery style.
- Continuously refine content based on feedback, audience engagement, and evolving content strategy.

- Ability to analyse multiple sources and translate complex information into clear, engaging narratives for a broad audience.
- Ability to identify relevant topics and trends based on current developments and emerging news.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while meeting tight production deadlines.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and open to feedback for continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Journalism, Economics, Finance, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong interest in the Australian economy, housing market, and public policy.
- Familiarity with interpreting economic data, housing market reports, and policy announcements.
- Understanding of YouTube storytelling techniques, including hooks, narrative flow, and audience retention strategies.
- Experience producing research-driven content related to real estate, economics, finance, or public policy.
- Awareness of current Australian economic and housing discussions in the media and public discourse.
