Job Description
This part-time internship is a remote role and will be 10-25 hours per week. You will report to the Senior Policy Director, Voting & Fair Representation.
Common Cause is seeking an intern to work with our Voting & Fair Representation team relating to voting and elections, redistricting, and democracy reform. In this role you will assist with advocacy campaigns, grassroots engagement, research, policy development, communications, and/or member outreach and events. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a commitment to a fair and transparent democracy, and who is interested in learning more about government affairs and the legislative process.
\n- Conduct legal, political, and demographic research on voting rights and redistricting
- Analyze topics such as election security, redistricting reform, and state-level voting rights protections
- Support the development of organizing and lobbying resources by gathering lessons learned from successful campaigns
- Contribute to written reports and resources that will inform Common Cause staff and coalition partners nationwide
