Job Description

This part-time internship is a remote role and will be 25 hours per week. You will report to the Senior Director, Organizing.   

Common Cause is seeking an intern to work with our Organizing team relating to voting and elections, redistricting, and democracy reform. In this role you will assist with the development of the "People's Lobby Freedom School" that will be launched in the Summer 2026, along with the in-person convenings in up to 5 States.

Skills you will build and work you will be involved in:
  • Support national, state, and local organizing efforts through trainings and workshops  
  • Assist with planning and staffing on-the-ground events and activations  
  • Help coordinate with coalition partners to advance shared democracy goals  


Qualifications:

You will be a good fit for this internship if you have:  

  • A passion for learning about elections, organizing, and the legislative process  
  • A desire and an ability to work in a non-partisan manner   
  • A willingness to build your organizational skills and attention to detail  
  • A willingness to build your writing and listening skills  
  • A willingness to learn new skills
