Role Description
The Turf & Ornamental (T&O) Business Development Manager will focus on strategic growth, relationship management, market analysis, and cross functional collaboration. This position requires the ability to direct sell, consult, and work with a variety of customers on T&O needs. The T&O Business Development Manager will report to the Director of T&O.
- Work with approved national distributors throughout the contiguous United States on training, education, product knowledge, and basic day-to-day business dealings.
- Work with approved National Distributor sales locations on continuing the growth and promotion of all BRANDT product lines to existing and potential new end users concentrating on lawn care.
- Assist approved national distributors through marketing on all sales materials, product events, and promotion of the BRANDT brands.
- Assist private label development.
- Attend, set up and/or initiate group sales events for approved national distributors for specific sales location open houses, lunch and learns, and national events.
- Build and provide necessary programs and information for the end users need in the Lawn Care industry.
- Assist with maintaining open territories.
- Assist current Territory Sales Managers with territory coverage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, agronomy, or similar.
- Two to five plus years of experience in the agricultural area.
- Basic knowledge of the T&O industry with specifics in plant nutrition is required.
- Experience in T&O sales or related agricultural field.
- Mathematical skills to convert and read labels to calculate rates as needed.
- Basic Computer Skills.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
