Job Description

About this job

As a Director, Sales, you will lead large, complex sales engagements across NIQ’s portfolio of measurement solutions for both existing and new clients in the Beauty & Health vertical. You will pioneer commercial strategies to renew, expand, and win new business; build and deepen senior-level client relationships; and ultimately close deals that deliver measurable impact. You will join a high-performing, high-energy team that thrives in a fast-paced environment—eager to welcome a new leader who can build on momentum and deliver against lofty but attainable growth goals.

Responsibilities

Commercial Strategy & Sales Execution

  • Execute the commercial strategy and drive sales of NIQ’s measurement solutions across assigned accounts and target prospects.

  • Clearly articulate NIQ’s value proposition and product use cases to decision makers, tailoring messages to client context and the Beauty & Health portfolio.

  • Generate qualified leads and maintain a robust pipeline consistent with NIQ’s growth strategy; accurately forecast pipeline health, upside, risk, and expected close dates in line with sales cycle norms.

  • Achieve sales quota consistent with NIQ margin goals and delivery expectations.

Strategic Client Leadership

  • Serve as the Account Leader for large, strategic clients within the Beauty & Health vertical—owning the operating plan, governance model, and relationship strategy.

  • Build and manage the operating plan and account-level financial performance, tracking revenue, profitability, and overall account health.

  • Lead Joint Business Planning (JBP) with clients and drive internal alignment plans for Sales and Practice teams to ensure coordinated execution.

  • Represent the voice of the customer to internal product development, product marketing, communications, and delivery teams.

Business Development & Sales Growth

  • Identify, shape, and activate cross-sell and up-sell opportunities that advance client strategies and NIQ revenue targets.

  • Lead negotiations and manage client contracts, ensuring successful deals and renewals.

  • Develop strategies for clients within the Beauty & Health vertical—codifying executive-ready win themes, key insights, and decision frameworks that position NIQ as a trusted advisor.

Client Servicing & Relationship Management

  • Maintain and deepen C‑suite and senior-level relationships across multiple client stakeholders, securing influence and trust.

  • Oversee delivery of analytics and solutions through NIQ consulting teams; ensure outcomes are timely, high-quality, and aligned to stated client objectives.

  • Lead the overall RFP process for strategic accounts, orchestrating compelling, differentiated proposals that reflect client needs and NIQ’s unique capabilities.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Coach and guide on-site and virtual client consulting teams to deliver high-value analytics and insights that drive decisions and outcomes.

  • Serve as a matrixed lead, coordinating across Sales, Practice Areas, Product, Finance, and Delivery to align efforts with client goals.

  • Partner with NIQ Thought Leaders to curate content, case studies, and POVs that elevate client relationships and position NIQ to win with senior decision-makers.

Thought Leadership & External Engagement

  • Represent NIQ externally via executive presentations, conferences, industry forums, and client workshops—showcasing NIQ capabilities and cultivating new opportunities.

  • Weave client-specific insights, industry dynamics, and thought leadership into conversations to build context and clarity for the outcomes NIQ solutions deliver.

Financial & Consultative Excellence

  • Manage account-level financials and develop ROI-based recommendations that connect NIQ solutions to measurable business impact.

  • Continuously grow consultative selling skills; demonstrate deep understanding of category, channel, and macro trends in Beauty & Health and evolving C‑suite priorities.

  • Own cross-functional relationships and serve as a subject matter expert for your accounts and partners in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of consultative selling experience within market research, CPG manufacturing, and/or retail.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop deep relationships with C‑suite clients and senior stakeholders.

  • Proven success delivering sales results, including pipeline development, forecasting, negotiation, and closing complex deals.

  • Experienced in scoping and developing proposals, RFP leadership, and negotiation strategies.

  • Ability to synthesize NIQ and external data sources to generate actionable insights and communicate them clearly and compellingly.

  • Excellent sales pipeline management with a track record of predictability and consistency.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with NIQ solutions, applications, and platforms is a plus.

  • Expertise in OTC & Healthcare verticals is a strong plus.

What You’ll Bring

  • An entrepreneurial mindset with a deep sense of urgency, ownership, and accountability for results.

  • Exceptional storytelling and executive communication skills—able to influence at all levels and drive decisions.

  • A collaborative approach suited to a dynamic, distributed team environment.

  • A builder’s mentality—energized by new ideas, shaping strategy, and executing with precision.
