About the Business Operations & Analytics Team

We are seeking a highly analytical and motivated Data Analyst to join our Business Operations & Analytics team. This isn't just a reporting role; you will be the storyteller of our data. You will dive deep into our product, user, and transactional data to uncover critical insights that will shape our strategy, guide product development, and optimize our growth engine. You will work cross-functionally with product, engineering, marketing, and leadership to answer our most pressing questions and turn complex data into actionable recommendations.

You will be reporting to the Head of Business Operations & Analytics with the option to work remotely or in-person in our downtown Nashville office.

What You’ll Do

  • Analyze and interpret large, complex datasets
  • Define, build, and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Build, maintain, and iterate on Looker dashboards and underlying LookML data models to ensure scalable, accurate, and self-serve reporting across the organization
  • Manage and version-control data models, SQL scripts, and analytical code using Git/GitHub, following engineering best practices such as branching, pull requests, and code reviews.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses on user behavior, funnels, and customer segmentation
  • Design, execute, and analyze A/B tests
  • Measure campaign effectiveness, analyze Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), and model Lifetime Value (LTV)
  • Work with Engineering to ensure data accuracy and reliability
  • Translate complex findings into clear narratives for technical and non-technical stakeholders

Who You Are

  • You have 2-5 years of experience in a data analyst or business intelligence role
  • You have expert-level SQL, capable of writing complex, optimized queries (e.g., in Snowflake)
  • Proven experience creating dashboards using tools like Looker, Apache Superset, or similar
  • Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib) for statistical analysis
  • Strong understanding of statistical principles (e.g., hypothesis testing) and experience with A/B testing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a fintech, banking, or high-growth startup environment
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts (e.g., Snowflake)
  • Exposure to modern data stack tools (dbt, Fivetran)

Compensation

$70,000 - $90,000

Note this is a range and we take in a variety of factors when determining total compensation for the position.
