Role Description
The Senior Automation Implementation Engineer supports QVC and HSN, reporting to the Senior Manager, Automation Controls Engineering. You will specialize in ideation, design, and implementation of automation solutions that are safe and economical for material handling systems across the network.
You will communicate the vision, detailed roadmap, and technical solutions to make a compelling business case with our senior executives.
This role is remote; job seekers must reside in one of the following states to be considered: PA, NJ, DE, ID, FL, SC, NC, TN, and VA. This role may require you to be on site at fulfillment or vendor sites.
What You'll Do
- Solution Design: Develop automation prototype design solutions tailored to project needs, including selecting and integrating MHE equipment and creating detailed system layouts.
- System Integration: Work with equipment vendors, suppliers, and team members to procure and integrate necessary MHE equipment into the automation system.
- Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and site leaders to understand specific requirements and goals for the material handling automation project.
- Process Optimization: Analyze material handling processes and workflows to identify opportunities for optimization.
- Testing and Commissioning: Test and debug the material handling automation system to ensure functionality.
Qualifications
- Experience in Fulfillment MHE Automation environment.
- Working knowledge of relevant software: SQL, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel (can perform complex functions), CAD, and Minitab.
- 3+ years implementing automation projects or related field.
- Previous experience implementing automation/robotic systems within an FC or DC environment.
- Engineering Degree or 5+ years in Engineering experience.
- Work Measurement training preferred (MTM, MOST).
- Lean or Six Sigma training.
- 5+ years in Project Management experience.
