About the Role
OI Infusion is seeking a Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Manager to oversee setup functions and billing operations. This leader will manage a team of billers and a setup specialist, ensuring clean claims, accurate EMR maintenance, and seamless site implementations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and passionate about reducing denials while driving revenue optimization.
ResponsibilitiesSetup & System Management
- Oversee coding audits, including adjustment codes, NDCs, rates, and diagnosis codes.
- Manage quarterly rate updates and EMR system maintenance.
- Execute new site and provider setup, ensuring accurate configuration of charge codes, modifiers, and payors.
- Lead EDI, ERA, and EFT enrollments and troubleshoot issues.
- Ensure smooth integration of new sites and TINs into the practice management system.
- Administer provider portals and maintain secure access.
- Identify underutilized tools to improve efficiency.
- Create SOPs and provide training for new team members.
- Develop and enforce billing/coding practices to reduce denials and rejections.
- Supervise billing team, manage workflow, and set performance expectations.
- Monitor KPIs (billing holds, productivity, QA, rebilling).
- Resolve escalated claims issues with clearinghouse and payors.
- Lead implementation of AI-driven billing tools to improve efficiency.
- Conduct regular audits and update SOPs to ensure compliance.
- Lead a remote team of 3–5 direct reports.
- Conduct 1:1 meetings, performance reviews, and coaching.
- Oversee scheduling, timecards, and PTO approvals.
- Support team growth through hiring, training, and development.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of management experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations.
- Strong knowledge of billing, coding (CPT, ICD-10), and claim submission processes.
- Experience with setting up and maintaining EMR/practice management systems (AdvancedMD preferred).
- Familiarity with EDI, ERA, EFT agreements, and clearinghouse platforms (e.g. Change Healthcare).
- Proven ability to lead remote teams and manage competing priorities.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - advanced knowledge of excel a must.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with new site implementations.
- Provider portal setup and administration.
- Background in infusion billing.
