Role Description

This senior leadership role offers the opportunity to shape the future of programmable, AI-native infrastructure platforms. You will lead multiple engineering teams, define long-term architecture strategy, and drive the adoption of scalable control plane solutions for enterprise customers. The position blends technical oversight with organizational leadership, overseeing both product development and ecosystem expansion. You will work cross-functionally with product, GTM, and partner teams to ensure cohesive experiences and robust, production-grade systems.   • Define and execute the long-term vision for control planes, enterprise adoption, and ecosystem extensibility.
  • Lead engineering teams across multiple domains, including hosted control planes, marketplaces, APIs, extensions, and partner integrations.
  • Drive reliability, scalability, and production-grade engineering practices across all platform offerings.
  • Establish operational rigor, including roadmap planning, delivery predictability, uptime SLAs, and engineering excellence.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and technical craftsmanship across engineering teams.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Alliances, GTM, and Customer Success teams to align ecosystem and platform strategy with business objectives.
  • Represent engineering in executive-level conversations, translating enterprise customer needs into scalable solutions.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of engineering leadership experience, including managing managers of managers.
  • 5+ years building or scaling cloud-native, infrastructure, or platform engineering products.
  • Deep understanding of Kubernetes, cloud-native ecosystems, APIs, SDKs, declarative systems, and extensibility frameworks.
  • Proven experience growing ecosystem-driven products, such as marketplaces, providers, plugins, or integrations.
  • Track record of delivering reliable production services with strong uptime and performance standards.
  • Strong strategic vision with the ability to dive deep technically and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring skills for high-performing engineering organizations.
  • Startup or high-growth company experience in infrastructure or platform engineering is a plus.
