Role Description

We are on the search for an EDI Integrations Specialist (Contract) to design, build, and maintain our EDI ecosystem. This remote role blends hands-on technical execution with deep logistics and supply-chain understanding.

You will own EDI integrations end-to-end — from trading partner onboarding to system enhancements — working closely with IT, business stakeholders, and third-party platforms to improve automation, reliability, and scalability across our operations. This is an execution-heavy role for someone who is comfortable operating independently while partnering cross-functionally.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead end-to-end trading partner onboarding and implementation across EDI documents including 810, 850, 855, 856, 875, 880, 940, and 945
  • Design, develop, and deploy EDI mappings (ANSI X12, XML) aligned with business and compliance standards
  • Own daily EDI production operations, monitoring flows to ensure accuracy, reliability, and uptime
  • Build and maintain system integrations using C#, .NET, PowerShell, or similar scripting tools
  • Diagnose and resolve complex issues across EDI systems, data pipelines, and integrations
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to increase automation, scalability, and partner experience
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for mappings, configurations, and EDI workflows

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Computer Science, IT, or Information Systems preferred)
  • 4–7+ years of hands-on experience designing EDI specifications and mapping X12 and XML documents
  • 3–5+ years of experience with MSSQL T-SQL and SSIS development
  • Strong knowledge of ANSI X12 (EDIFACT a plus)
  • Experience with secure data exchange protocols (AS2, FTP, SFTP) and VAN integrations
  • Hands-on experience with EDI mapping tools (e.g., MapForce)
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and tools such as Jira for project tracking
  • Experience integrating EDI with ERP systems
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS)
  • Familiarity with modern integration patterns (APIs, event-driven architecture)
  • Background in manufacturing, supply chain, transportation, or logistics
  • Programming experience in C#, Python, or similar languages for automation
  • Strong communicator who can translate technical requirements across business and technical teams
