Role Description
The VP of Talent Rewards will establish and drive total rewards strategies and long-term roadmap for compensation, benefits, retirement, and wellbeing experience programs, that are cost effective, leading with market trends and meet the needs of our growing, diversified population. This includes leading a team of professionals who are responsible for administering and leading day-to-day employee benefits, leaves of absences, compensation, and HRIS systems and responsibilities. This position will help lead and drive HR transformational initiatives, integrations, and strategic projects.
- Develop and drive the development of the Total Rewards strategy to enable both short- and long-term business objectives.
- Establish health and welfare benefit strategy and lead the execution of these benefit programs to drive desired business outcomes, reinforce company values and improve employee experience.
- Evaluate and ensure benefits program and plans meet the evolving needs of our diverse and distributed workforce in an innovative way across all markets, while ensuring programs follow all legal requirements.
- Facilitate alignment on the compensation strategy and direct the execution and communication of compensation plans/policies with maturity of organization.
- Lead all compensation initiatives, including the strategy and execution of salary surveys, compensation analysis, and updating compensation structure for all positions.
- Partner with Finance related to equity compensation strategy and plans.
- Work in partnership with external vendors and consultants in both compensation and benefit arenas to ensure the company is positioned competitively and stays current on trends/changes.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy for compensation and benefit programs and identify opportunities to better enable the company to improve employee engagement, facilitate proactive and effective messaging and cadence as well as support the company's growth and strategic plan.
- Ensure compensation and benefit practices drive Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion outcomes through thoughtful and innovative approaches to every facet of the Total Rewards cycle.
- As the process allows, play a critical role in the due diligence process and comprehensive review of benefit and compensation plans for new ventures, mergers, and acquisitions.
- Participate, lead, and drive HR transformational initiatives and strategic projects for those within the team’s scope of responsibility.
- Assess existing HR processes and procedures; develop and implement new processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of HR functions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field required. Masters strongly preferred.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) preferred.
- Knowledge of legislation governing benefit plans (ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, PPACA).
- Extensive knowledge of compensation and benefit programs with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
- Demonstrated experience planning, developing, and deploying Total Rewards programs.
- Strong knowledge in the design, funding, compliance, administration, and communication of employee benefits programs.
- Experience with HRIS systems used for support of employee life cycle.
- Exceptional critical thinking skills and the ability to analyze, summarize, and effectively present data.
- Demonstrated strong leadership experience with involvement in execution as well as the development of strategic initiatives.
- Ability to effectively lead people and get results through others. In-depth knowledge and experience in effectively leading the wide-spectrum of compensation and benefits programs and practices which supports results-oriented business.
