Role Description
This role is designed for a strategic, hands-on leader who will advance sales process excellence and embed AI-driven capabilities across customer planning, joint business planning, and innovation sell-in workflows. You will partner closely with sales, category management, and planning teams to design, implement, and continuously improve standards, processes, and tools that drive consistent execution and measurable commercial impact. The position blends commercial expertise with AI enablement, giving you the opportunity to shape high-value workflows, accelerate decision-making, and enhance customer engagement across retail accounts. Success in this role requires strong influence skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to translate complex insights into actionable recommendations. You will also lead adoption programs and AI fluency initiatives to ensure teams operate efficiently, effectively, and responsibly.
- Act as a strategic partner to sales, planning, and category leadership to improve customer planning, line reviews, and joint business planning (JBP) execution.
- Design, deploy, and maintain customer planning standards, templates, scorecards, and governance processes that increase consistency and adoption in the field.
- Develop reusable content libraries, exemplars, and guidance materials to reduce rework and enhance effectiveness across sales and category teams.
- Lead the design and implementation of AI-enabled tools and workflows to support insight synthesis, storytelling, meeting preparation, and follow-up in line reviews, JBPs, and innovation summits.
- Partner with Data/Tech teams to test and scale AI capabilities embedded in workflows, ensuring responsible, compliant adoption.
- Drive training, reinforcement, and adoption programs including workshops, office hours, and coaching to embed best practices across HQ and field teams.
- Establish metrics and governance to track adoption, performance, and impact of sales processes and AI-enabled workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Analytics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in commercial roles within CPG or related industries, with expertise in sales strategy, commercial excellence, or customer planning.
- Proven track record of building, scaling, and embedding customer planning standards, toolkits, and enablement programs.
- Strong storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex insights into clear, actionable recommendations that drive retailer alignment.
- Experience in capability-building, change leadership, and cross-functional influence across multiple teams and geographies.
- Practical AI fluency, including scoping use cases, mapping workflows, and driving adoption of AI-enabled tools and behaviors.
- Exceptional project management, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts clearly.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment and drive measurable outcomes under tight deadlines.
