Role Description
MIRA Safety is seeking a Part-Time Social Media Specialist (~20 hours per week) to support the company’s digital presence across multiple social media platforms. This role is an individual contributor position focused on content creation, community engagement, and supporting marketing initiatives. The Social Media Specialist will work closely with the marketing team to maintain brand consistency, engage with online audiences, and support content collaborations.
Key Responsibilities

Community Engagement
- Monitor and respond to comments and messages across social media platforms in a professional and timely manner.
- Engage with relevant posts and online communities to help build brand awareness and encourage audience interaction.
- Foster positive relationships with followers and support the development of an engaged online community.

Content Creation and Publishing
- Create, edit, and publish social media content including text, images, and short-form video.
- Support the consistent posting of content aligned with the company’s marketing strategy.
- Conduct one product-focused photoshoot per month featuring MIRA Safety products, when applicable.

Brand Collaboration and Outreach
- Identify and engage with brands, influencers, or organizations that align with MIRA Safety’s audience and mission.
- Support collaborative content opportunities when appropriate and approved by the marketing team.

- Tactical preparedness and emergency readiness.
- Educational or informational content related to safety and preparedness.

- Engaging, authentic storytelling that resonates with preparedness and outdoor communities.
- Visually consistent content that reflects a confident, tactical, and cinematic brand aesthetic.
- Collaborative content featuring aligned brands, creators, or industry partners.

Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in social media content creation, digital marketing, or a related field.
- Experience creating and editing photo and video content for social platforms.
- Familiarity with major social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X (Twitter), Facebook, and LinkedIn.
- Strong written communication and copywriting skills.
- Ability to engage professionally with online communities.
- Interest in emergency preparedness, personal safety, outdoor survival, or tactical equipment is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating with internal teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience or strong interest in tactical gear, CBRN, survival, or emergency preparedness markets.
- Military, law enforcement, or first responder background is a plus but not required.
Work Schedule
- Approximately 20 hours per week.
