Job Description
Role Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Buyer to support the procurement of Equipment for our Data Center Construction projects. In this role, you will oversee purchase orders, tracking of equipment deliveries and communicating delivery schedules with General Contractors.
- Interface with Suppliers to request quotes for Owner Furnished Equipment for Data Center construction and fit out projects.
- Perform cost analysis on supplier quotations and provide recommendation on selection.
- Coordinate supplier documentation reviews (Shop Drawings, Submittals and Specification responses) with General Contractor and Design Engineers.
- Interface with the Sourcing Managers, VP Procurement, Development team, General Contractors and Design Engineers to provide weekly updates on assigned projects.
- Engage and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Issue Purchase Orders.
- Onboard new suppliers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Construction Management or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience or new graduate with relevant internship or project experience.
- Basic understanding of Data Center Equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Must have effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and Suppliers.
- Ability to learn ERP systems (NetSuite).
- Advanced Microsoft Office Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
