This role is responsible for driving strategic financial insights and forecasting for major business segments, directly influencing executive-level decisions. You will lead the development of driver-based models, analyze trends, and provide actionable recommendations to optimize revenue and business performance. Operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Data Science, Business Development, and Accounting. This position offers the opportunity to work with senior leadership, including board and C-suite stakeholders, shaping strategies that impact billions in annual revenue. - Own end-to-end monthly revenue forecasting for key business segments, building and maintaining driver-based financial models tied to operational levers.
- Perform monthly and quarterly variance analyses versus forecasts and plans, translating complex trends into clear recommendations for leadership.
- Develop executive-ready materials including dashboards, narrative memos, and scenario analyses to support board and C-suite decisions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Business Development, Product, Data Science, and Accounting to align assumptions, improve data quality, and operationalize insights.
- Lead deep-dive analyses on revenue and unit economics to identify growth opportunities, risks, and areas for operational improvement.
- Provide thought leadership on financial strategy, modeling best practices, and decision-support frameworks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
- 6+ years of experience in investment banking, strategic finance/FP&A, or management consulting supporting high-growth technology or marketplace businesses.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, including driver-based models, scenario analyses, and forecasting.
- Demonstrated experience owning complex P&L forecasting, variance analysis, and driving improvements in forecast accuracy.
- Strong experience preparing and presenting executive-level materials with clear, actionable business narratives.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to influence stakeholders in fast-paced environments.
- Preferred: Experience in two-sided marketplaces, consumer internet businesses, SQL, BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau), and familiarity with GAAP revenue recognition concepts.
