As the Healthcare Data Associate, you will play a pivotal role in translating complex healthcare data into insights that inform strategy, improve quality outcomes, and support decision-making across the organization. You’ll work closely with Quality, Technology, Market Operations, and leadership teams to strengthen performance across multiple states.

  • Lead data analysis to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities across quality metrics, including HEDIS.
  • Develop clear, visually compelling reports and dashboards to support quality, compliance, and executive decision-making.
  • Partner with Quality Operations teammates to surface performance insights, outliers, and improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Technology partners to streamline data pipelines and enhance analytic capabilities.
  • Maintain and evolve standardized reporting templates to ensure consistency across clients and markets.
  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and reliability of all analytics and reporting outputs.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize and automate recurring analytics workflows, supporting scalability.
  • Support learning and iteration by analyzing results from pilots, feature launches, and workflow changes.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive experience as a data analyst in a healthcare environment.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on SQL experience, including complex queries and data validation.
  • Strong experience with quality reporting and HEDIS performance analysis; risk adjustment knowledge preferred.
  • Experience working with clinical data such as EHR, claims, pharmacy, or population health datasets.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards (e.g., ICD-10, CPT, SNOMED, LOINC).
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare data privacy requirements.
  • Proven ability to analyze healthcare data, generate insights, and make thoughtful recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate data for diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and comfort managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, evolving environment.

Personal Characteristics

  • An empathetic, humble, and highly conscientious teammate who inspires and motivates others.
  • Strength in authentically connecting with people from all walks of life.
  • Curious and open to learning, growth, and feedback.
  • Strong communicator with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
  • A thoughtful problem solver who enjoys finding clarity in complexity.
  • A strong representative of Diverge Health’s mission, vision, and values.
