Role Description
Emerging Tech is seeking a Program Manager to support the Federal Electronic Health Record Modernization (FEHRM) Office. This role will support the Joint Sites Integration workstream and focus on strategic coordination and program management activities related to the deployment of electronic health record systems across Department of Defense and Department of Veterans Affairs facilities that share services, technology, or infrastructure.
The Program Manager will help drive workstream planning, stakeholder engagement, program analysis, and operational coordination across multiple teams to ensure successful integration and execution of shared-site initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the FEHRM Joint Sites Integration workstream by observing, analyzing, executing, and continuously improving operational processes
- Manage cross-functional teams and engage key stakeholders in the development of analyses and implementation plans related to shared-site EHR deployments
- Provide programmatic leadership at the workstream level, coordinating activities across teams and ensuring alignment with broader program objectives
- Conduct discovery activities to understand current state ("as-is") processes and evaluate potential future state ("to-be") operational models
- Perform detailed analyses to assess operational, technical, and organizational impacts of proposed changes
- Plan and coordinate quarterly leadership meetings and annual multi-day strategic planning sessions for the workstream
- Support the development and maintenance of program schedules, trackers, and coordination tools
- Develop executive briefings and presentations on program status, risks, challenges, and opportunities
- Coordinate travel activities and maintain workstream tracking documentation
- Lead action item management processes including tracking, updates, closure, and documentation
- Manage responses to data calls and taskers, ensuring timely and high-quality submissions
- Maintain and organize SharePoint resources to support effective document management and collaboration
- Participate in risk management activities and support mitigation planning for Joint Sites Integration initiatives
Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional work experience
- Experience managing Information Technology related projects or programs
- Strong understanding of system life cycle and project management methodologies
- Experience tracking costs, schedules, and performance metrics
- Demonstrated ability to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, or related scientific or technical discipline
- An additional 8 years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of degree requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or Department of Defense (DoD)
- Experience supporting Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation or modernization initiatives
