Job Description
Job Summary:
Responsible for managing and optimizing the asset remarketing strategy for designated sales ensuring the effective sale of repossessed vehicles. Focus on driving profitability, improving conversion rates, and executing remarketing strategies through a variety of channels, including wholesale and online auctions. Collaborate with internal teams to develop pricing strategies, improve processes, and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Job Duties:
Develop and execute asset remarketing strategies for the assigned region to maximize the profitability of vehicle sales through various channels such as wholesale, retail, and online auctions.
Manage and track the movement of assets within the region, ensuring accurate documentation, proper pricing, and timely listing of vehicles for sale.
Analyze market conditions and trends to inform pricing strategies and optimize asset recovery, ensuring competitive pricing while meeting company objectives.
Collaborate with internal teams, such as inventory management, pricing, and marketing, to ensure that vehicles are properly prepared for sale and aligned with regional market demand.
Coordinate the sale of assets through appropriate remarketing channels, including physical and online auctions, dealerships, or direct sales, to maximize vehicle recovery rates.
Monitor asset performance by tracking recovery rates, sale times, and other key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying opportunities for process improvements and adjustments to sales strategies.
Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including auction houses, dealerships, and remarketing platforms, to ensure the optimal sale of assets in the region.
Ensure that all vehicles are properly documented, including maintenance records, vehicle history, and any necessary legal documents, prior to remarketing.
Provide guidance and recommendations to internal stakeholders on strategies for vehicle pricing, condition, and marketing to optimize asset value.
Prepare reports on asset remarketing performance, providing insights on sales results, market trends, and opportunities for improvement to senior management.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or educational experience in related field preferred, or relevant work experience.
6+ years relevant experience related to asset remarketing with full knowledge of wholesale vehicle values and reconditioning.
3-5 years of experience in the Automobile/Auction Industry preferred.
3-5 years of experience in a Travel Representative role responsible for the representation of inventory preferred.
Extensive knowledge of auction platforms, vehicle pricing, inventory management, and asset recovery strategies.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret market data, sales performance, and recovery rates to inform strategic decisions.
Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills, with experience working with auction houses, dealerships, and remarketing platforms.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, including the preparation, marketing, and sale of assets across various channels.
High attention to detail, ensuring the accuracy of vehicle documentation and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively present asset performance data, market insights, and recommendations to senior leadership.
Ability to identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in the asset remarketing process.
Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards related to asset remarketing, including vehicle sales and auctions.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to address and resolve challenges related to asset pricing, sale timing, and vendor relationships.
Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and strategic thinking to optimize regional remarketing outcomes.
