What we need
As the Payroll Manager you will oversee our payroll functions for Exol. In this position, you will be predominantly focused on the US. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure accurate and timely payment of payroll expenses and taxes. We are looking for an individual who is analytical, methodical, and experienced in payroll administration. A deep understanding of payroll regulations is crucial. Your goal will be to maintain compliance, streamline payroll procedures for efficiency, and stay updated with current regulations and best practices.
As our Payroll Manager, you will play a vital role in safeguarding the financial well-being of our organization and ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time. This position reports to the Director of Finance.
Exol* is pioneering warehousing-as-a-service, offering outsourced warehousing operations and specializing in automated warehousing solutions. Our focus is on the efficient movement of goods in cases and pallets across all sectors, such as wholesale, retail, and general merchandising.
*Exol is an independently managed joint venture between Symbotic and Softbank.
What we do
The Finance team is responsible for financial reporting requirements, various weekly and monthly reporting, business forecasting, payroll, accounting and involvement with ad-hoc projects.
What you’ll do
Oversee processing of payroll changes (e.g. new hires, terminations, raises) and system upgrades
Serve as a payroll backup for US and Canada
Oversee and review all payroll runs
Coordinate timekeeping and payroll systems
Ensure compliance with legislation and company policy
Act as a liaison with external and internal auditors
Assist with recording general ledger entries related to payroll
Assist with aspects around stock-based compensation, incl. our employee stock purchase plan
What you'll need
Bachelor’s degree in Payroll, HR, Accounting, or Finance
Minimum 8 years of experience as a payroll manager or similar role
Expert knowledge in payroll procedures and relevant laws for US and Canada
Expert knowledge of common payroll systems
Expert knowledge of common HRIS
Team leadership experience
Excellent understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes
Familiarity with payroll software/ HRIS (e.g. SAP, ADP, Kronos) and MS Office (especially Excel)

Up to 10% travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.
The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.

The base range for this position in the posted location is $95,000.00 - $130,900.00 however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes medical, dental, vision, disability, 401K, PTO and/or other benefits.Job Requirements
