Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and provide speech therapy services to students with speech and language disorders.
- Conduct speech and language assessments, write FIE reports, and communicate the results at IEP meetings
- Consult with various stakeholders in different settings
- Diagnose and provide direct and indirect speech therapy services
- Regularly report progress to parents per ARD committee determination
- Provide professional development with different stakeholders
- Maintain appropriate documentation as determined by the speech program
- Conduct, attend, and participate in ARD/IEP committee meetings and provide goals and objectives for students needing speech and language services
- Attend MTSS/SST meetings for students referred for speech and language concerns
- Keep abreast of current trends in the practice of speech pathology, develop professional skills, and ensure federal/state regulations
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Education: Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible
- Certification: Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP).
- Skills: Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
