The Field Service Engineer acts as the primary technical representative for customers and sales teams, responsible for the technical assessment, installation, support, servicing, maintenance, and de-installation of all Cardiovascular (CV) systems at customer sites. Responsibilities also include performing inspections, corrective maintenance, submitting technical records, providing field input to engineering groups, and participating in technical training for various stakeholders.

The Field Service Engineer I will assist with the on-site installation, repair, testing, and maintenance of sophisticated electron microscopy systems, including SEM, TEM, and FIB systems. Key duties involve performing scheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues with guidance, supporting senior engineers, and building positive customer relationships.

This role focuses on developing and leading new partnership alliances to generate business opportunities for Viasat, which involves creating strategic business plans and negotiating alliance agreements. The lead will also manage ongoing partner relationships, recruit strategic partners, and ensure the retention and growth of accounts while evangelizing company products.

The Field Service Engineer will serve as the primary regional contact, ensuring customer needs are met by conducting on-site installation, repair, testing, and maintenance of complex Electron Microscopy equipment. This role also involves troubleshooting, providing training and mentorship to customers and new engineers, and offering feedback to internal teams.
