This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the design, development, and delivery of high-impact sales training programs within a dynamic, remote field environment. You will be responsible for ensuring sales teams are fully equipped with product knowledge, clinical expertise, selling skills, and business acumen to drive performance and revenue growth. By collaborating closely with sales leadership, marketing, and field trainers, you will create engaging learning experiences that support onboarding, continuous development, and strategic initiatives. This position emphasizes cross-functional partnership, operational excellence, and the use of modern learning technologies to deliver measurable results. The Sales Training Manager will help shape a culture of excellence and drive alignment across stakeholders while fostering a high-performing, collaborative sales organization.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve comprehensive onboarding programs that accelerate new hire readiness, confidence, and performance.
- Develop and deliver multi-modal training programs, including instructor-led sessions (virtual and in-person), eLearning, simulations, microlearning, and scenario-based exercises.
- Define learning pathways and competency-based progressions aligned with commercial strategy, clinical knowledge, and field requirements.
- Collaborate with sales leadership, marketing, and field trainers to ensure content is current, relevant, and aligned with business priorities.
- Coordinate logistics for training programs, including scheduling, materials preparation, technology setup, and facilitator alignment.
- Conduct field observations, identify skill gaps, provide actionable feedback, and tailor training interventions to maximize sales effectiveness.
- Manage the budget for training initiatives, ensuring efficient and cost-effective delivery while optimizing resources.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field; Master’s preferred in business, medical, or science-related disciplines.
- 5+ years of successful sales experience in the medical field, including hospital selling, surgical case support, or contract negotiations.
- 3+ years of experience developing, implementing, or delivering sales training programs; experience as a compensated field sales trainer preferred.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and professional medical content creation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), GPS360, and eLearning tools such as Articulate.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, self-starter mentality, and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Willingness to travel 30–50%.
- Urology/Urogynecology experience preferred.
