About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Controller to lead our accounting operations and public company reporting. Reporting to the Principal Accounting Officer, the Controller will own SEC filings, technical accounting, internal controls, audits, and financial reporting processes. This role is key to ensuring the accuracy, transparency, and compliance of all financial data and reports.
What You'll Do
- Lead monthly and quarterly close processes
- Prepare and manage SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) and related footnotes
- Support external audits and maintain SOX-compliant internal controls
- Oversee general ledger, bank reconciliations, and financial statement accuracy
- Produce internal financial reporting for leadership and the Board
- Perform technical accounting research and draft memos
- Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors
- Supervise AP/AR functions and support cash flow planning
Requirements
What You’ll Bring
- CPA required
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least some in a public company
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP, SEC reporting, and NASDAQ regulations
- Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls
- Skilled in Excel and comfortable working in ERP/accounting systems
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication
