Job Description
As an Outreach Specialist, you are at the front door of the Motion MSK patient experience. Through proactive phone outreach, you’ll introduce patients to Motion, answer questions, and guide them toward the right next step in their musculoskeletal care journey. Spanish fluency is essential in this role, as many of the patients we serve prefer to communicate in Spanish.
Many of the patients you speak with will be hearing about Motion for the first time, so your ability to quickly build trust and create a welcoming experience matters. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys meaningful conversations, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is energized by helping people access the care they need.
You’ll spend most of your day speaking with patients by phone while balancing empathy, professionalism, and performance expectations. The work you do shapes how patients first experience Motion and helps them confidently take their next step toward care.
What You'll Do:
Proactive Patient Outreach
- Conduct high-volume outbound calls to targeted patients based on predetermined lists and attempt schedules.
- Manage multiple outreach attempts per patient within defined SLAs.
- Comfortably and professionally engage in phone conversations for the majority of your workday.
- Navigate, guide, and regain control of conversations when necessary while maintaining warmth and integrity.
Patient Engagement and Conversion
- Introduce Motion MSK as a care solution to patients with no prior knowledge or experience with our company.
- Build trust through active listening, validation, and personalized education.
- Identify opportunities to tailor messaging based on patient needs.
- Ethically convert patients into care while ensuring alignment between patient needs and care solutions.
Documentation and Process Management
- Maintain clear, detailed documentation in internal systems.
- Capture information in a way that is easily understood and actionable for providers.
- Track patient outreach status and next steps accurately.
Scheduling and Follow-Through
- Schedule first appointments for engaged patients within defined timelines.
- Ensure timely follow-up and adherence to outreach and scheduling SLAs.
Schedule & Location:
- The schedule is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm ET, with a 1 hour meal period
- This position is fully remote
Job Requirements
- Patient-first mindset with a compassionate, empathetic approach and commitment to delivering an exceptional patient experience.
- Bilingual Spanish fluency, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations.
- 3+ years of professional experience, preferably in healthcare, patient services, care coordination, or similar patient-facing environments.
- Experience working in high-volume call environments, ideally with outbound outreach responsibilities.
- Comfortable spending the majority of the workday on the phone while meeting structured outreach and performance expectations.
- Strong communication and consultative conversation skills, with the ability to guide discussions, redirect when needed, and maintain patient trust.
- Ability to follow structured workflows or scripts while exercising sound judgment and adaptability in real-time conversations.
- Experience engaging diverse populations, with confidence navigating hesitant or challenging conversations with professionalism and empathy.
- Highly self-directed, with the ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and remain accountable in a remote environment.
- Ability to work East Coast hours.
- Private, secure remote workspace that protects PHI and supports HIPAA-compliant patient interactions.
- Preferred Qualifications (The Nice-to-Haves):
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Working knowledge of musculoskeletal care, physical therapy, kinesiology, exercise science, or related fields.
- Experience working in startup or high-growth environments, with comfort navigating evolving processes.
- Flexible, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to step beyond strict role boundaries to support team and patient needs.
- Compensation:
- Pay starts at a minimum of $17 and up to $24 per hour. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, location, and internal equity. We also offer comprehensive health and wellness benefits, retirement plan matching, paid time off, and more!
