Job Description

Role Description

The Student Engagement & Marketing Manager is a new, pivotal, cross-functional role that sits at the intersection of community building, brand growth, and operations. You will own everything from student outreach and ambassador programs to social media, email campaigns, and design — with a dash of project management thrown in. This is a great fit for someone who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, loves variety, and takes pride in building things from scratch. There are no "zones" for this role - you will be asked to roll up your sleeves, and take on whatever is needed.

What You'll Do - And Much More

  • Student Engagement
    • Write and distribute a weekly student newsletter to keep our community informed and engaged
    • Build and nurture relationships with clinical programs, nursing schools, and allied health programs
    • Coordinate and send branded swag to students and program partners
    • Launch and manage a student ambassador program, recruiting and supporting brand advocates across schools
    • Identify and secure speaking opportunities for our CEO at clinical education conferences
    • Recruit 2k students per month to join our network
  • Marketing
    • Own all social media channels for company and CEO — content creation, scheduling, engagement, and growth
    • Plan and execute email marketing campaigns targeting students, clinical educators, and client prospects
    • Run LinkedIn campaigns to drive awareness and generate leads
    • Develop and execute our conference strategy, including pre-conference outreach and meeting scheduling
    • Own and maintain our website, keeping content fresh and ensuring a strong user experience
    • Optimize our search presence (SEO/SEM) to drive organic traffic and inbound interest
  • Design
    • Own the design of all company assets — social graphics, email templates, decks, one-pagers, and more
    • Execute design work yourself using tools like Canva, Figma, or Adobe, or manage a contractor to do so
    • Maintain brand consistency across all channels and materials
  • Project Management & Operations
    • Help project manage our information security and compliance work (Vanta/SOC 2), keeping workstreams on track
    • Organize team building events and internal team engagement
    • Assist with other operational and administrative tasks as the business evolves
    • Be a reliable, proactive team player who raises their hand for whatever needs doing

Qualifications

  • Highest energy, type-A-like personality who can get sh*t done with minimal instruction and always on time. No excuses.
  • 2–4 years of experience in marketing, community management, or a similar generalist role
  • Heavy AI user today
  • Strong writing skills — you can write a newsletter, a LinkedIn post, and a cold outreach email equally well
  • Comfortable with design tools (Canva, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
  • Experience managing social media accounts and email marketing platforms/CRMs (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot, Klaviyo, Attio, etc.)
  • Organized self-starter who can juggle multiple projects without dropping the ball
  • Familiarity with SEO basics and website management
  • Interest in healthcare, education, or clinical training is a strong plus
  • Bonus: experience working in or alongside a startup or early-stage company, and healthcare experience

Benefits

  • Competitive salary ($75-80K) + meaningful equity package. Actual salary will be determined by level of experience
  • Health/Dental benefits for employee plus family members
  • Generous 401k
  • Remote-first work environment
  • Fast-moving team where your work has direct impact
  • Mission-driven culture focused on improving patient lives and empowering healthcare workers
  • Incredible career acceleration and exposure!
