Responsibilities
How you can make an impact:
Leading and overseeing engineering teams in the planning, design, and execution of T&D/Substation projects
Providing technical leadership and guidance to ensure high-quality engineering deliverables
Mentoring and developing mid-level and junior engineers, fostering professional growth and a high-performance culture
Managing day-to-day operations of a multidisciplinary engineering team to ensure effective and timely project execution
Supporting process improvement initiatives to enhance team efficiency and project delivery
Managing project-level risk for EPC T&D/Substation assignments and escalating appropriately to senior leadership
Coordinating with cross-functional teams to resolve engineering challenges and maintain project schedules and budgets
Supporting P&L awareness at the project level, including budget tracking and resource allocation
Assisting in building and maintaining client relationships through technical responsiveness and professional communication
Contributing to business development efforts, including proposal support and scope development
Staying current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes relevant to power systems and substations
Qualifications
Bring your passion, here's what’s needed:
7+ years of experience leading an engineering team
Minimum 15 years in the power system industry
Professional Engineer license preferred
Technical Knowledge
- Hands-on experience with High Voltage Substation projects, HV & MV Electrical, protection schemes, and engineering design packages
- Solid understanding of the utility-scale T&D/Substation market
- Proficiency in power system analysis software
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and related design tools
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices (e.g., IEEE, NERC, NEC)
Leadership & Soft Skills
- Strong critical thinking, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and coordinate across multiple stakeholders
- Effective communicator with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Collaborative, empathetic leadership style with a focus on team development
- Ability to support strategic planning initiatives and contribute to departmental growth goals
