Job Description

Summary:

PCAS is seeking a driven, client-focused Senior Director of Business Development to support Business growth. In this role, you will focus on generating leads, cultivating new client relationships, maintaining relationships with an extensive client base, and supporting the sales process across assigned regions and markets. You’ll be a key player in bringing new business to the firm and supporting client satisfaction through a hands-on, consultative approach.

This role is based in the Northeastern region of the United States.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact to explain YA Group’s service offerings in clear, practical terms.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through client outreach, networking, referrals, and industry events.
  • Conduct introductory and follow-up meetings with prospective clients to promote service offerings.
  • Build and maintain relationships with architects, engineers, Owners, construction managers, and other stakeholders in the construction industry.
  • Coordinate client meetings, lunch & learns, and presentations in collaboration with technical team members.
  • Track leads, opportunities, and client activity in CRM system and prioritize outreach efforts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth handoff from business development to service delivery.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to launch outreach campaigns and generate leads.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and client feedback.
  • Develop and execute account plans to drive retention, expansion, and long-term value.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of strategic prospects through research, referrals, and outbound engagement.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and events.
  • Partner with executive leadership to align business development efforts with company growth objectives.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management preferred       
  • Exposure to or strong interest in construction, architecture, engineering, or preconstruction services preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable conducting outreach, leading meetings, and speaking to technical service offerings
  • Organized, self-driven and goal-oriented, with a strong internal compass for achievement
  • Proactive and forward-looking, always seeking the next opportunity with clarity and intent
  • Proven ability to stay persistent and effective through lengthy sales cycles and competitive environments
  • Maintains composure under pressure and adapts quickly to changing priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel); familiarity with CRM tools a plus
  • Willingness to travel for client visits, events, and meetings. Up to 50% travel required.
