Role Description

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team supporting a key program supporting critical functions within the Department of Veterans Affairs. You will be responsible for leading the development and execution of innovative software solutions, leveraging cutting-edge AI technologies. You should have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fully remote, collaborative environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about government modernization and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications
  • Collaborate with team members to define project requirements and specifications
  • Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following best practices
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
  • Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks
  • Troubleshoot and debug software issues as they arise
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Must have reliable internet service that allows for effective telecommuting
  • Standard Business hours are Monday through Friday. Occasional extended or weekend hours may be required based on operational needs
