Role Description

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for senior attorneys and legal academics with deep expertise in special needs law, disability benefits, and trust-related legal structures. This role supports advanced AI evaluation work by ensuring the legal accuracy, clarity, and quality of structured content related to special needs planning and disability benefits. Selected professionals will help review legal content, validate alignment with relevant statutory and regulatory frameworks, assess materials related to special needs trusts and public benefits, and contribute expert feedback to improve the quality and reliability of legal datasets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Legal Content Review & Validation
    • Review legal documents and confirm alignment with relevant statutory and regulatory frameworks
    • Validate content related to ABLE accounts, guardianship, and special needs trusts
    • Ensure correctness and clarity across structured legal materials used in advanced AI evaluation workflows
  • Disability Benefits & Regulatory Analysis
    • Review content addressing Medicaid eligibility and SSI application processes
    • Apply expert knowledge of disability benefits law and regulatory standards
    • Assess legal materials for substantive accuracy, clarity, and appropriate legal framing
  • Feedback & Quality Improvement
    • Provide expert feedback to improve dataset quality
    • Help identify inaccuracies, ambiguities, or areas requiring clearer legal treatment
    • Collaborate asynchronously while meeting project deadlines

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in special needs law or related academic fields
  • Deep expertise in trust structures and disability benefits law
  • Advanced understanding of Medicaid and SSI regulatory standards
  • Strong analytical and legal writing skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to review structured legal content with precision and clarity

Preferred Qualifications

  • Senior attorney background in special needs planning or disability law
  • Legal academic experience in relevant subject areas
  • Experience reviewing or drafting content related to ABLE accounts, guardianship, special needs trusts, Medicaid, or SSI
  • Comfort contributing to structured legal review and dataset quality workflows
  • Ability to work independently in remote, project-based engagements
