Job Description:
Akkodis is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for a Contract with a client in Plano, TX(Hybrid). The ideal candidate with deep expertise in Cisco Nexus, Fortinet, and hybrid Azure connectivity-an essential qualification for leading secure, enterprise‑level network environments.
Rate Range: $54/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Senior Network Engineer job responsibilities include:

Design, implement, and support enterprise data center network infrastructure, including Cisco Nexus switching, routing, and high‑availability architectures.

Manage and administer Fortinet FortiGate and Palo Alto firewalls, handling security policies, VPNs, NAT, and traffic inspection.

Configure and maintain hybrid cloud connectivity using Azure ExpressRoute and VPN to ensure secure, reliable integration with on‑premises data centers.

Troubleshoot complex network, firewall, and cloud connectivity issues impacting servers, applications, and database systems.

Monitor network performance and health using observability tools, conducting routing validation, traffic path analysis, and root cause analysis.

Collaborate with cloud, security, and infrastructure teams to support enterprise operations and ensure secure, optimized application traffic flows.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline.

10+ years of hands‑on experience in enterprise network engineering, data center networking, and secure hybrid‑cloud environments.

Strong expertise in Cisco Nexus switching, Layer 2/3 networking, and routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF.

Proven experience managing Fortinet FortiGate and Palo Alto firewalls, along with Azure ExpressRoute hybrid connectivity.
Pay Details: $54.00 to $60.00 per hour
