Job Description
Research Assistant I
Cherokee Insights is seeking a Research Assistant to support the efforts of the US Air Force Mental Health Resilience Program Evaluation & Enhancement (MHRP E&E).
Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Research Assistant I: $50,000-$55,000
Pay commensurate with experience.
Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.
Research Assistant I Responsibilities Include:
- Participate in a 3.5-day training session focused on the overview of quality improvement, qualitative interviews, and proficiency of utilization of the Sleep Technology portal and app.
- Conduct data collection through qualitative interviews.
- Code qualitative interviews and tested for inter-rater reliability.
- Support the dissemination of information regarding the pilot project to participants and other stakeholders.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Research Assistant I Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
Master’s degree in the field of behavioral health and medicine, such as social work, psychology, nursing, or a related field OR a Bachelor’s Degree and 3 to 5 years of experience in the behavioral /medical field.
Prior experience in healthcare settings and working with providers
- Possess excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to understand complex written and oral instructions
- Excellent attention to detail. Exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to set and meet deadlines with high-quality work
- Proficient with digital technologies and Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Access
- Experience in sleep research or sleep medicine (highly desired)
- Work in consultation with Knowesis and the academic partner’s staff.
- Be able to read, write, and speak English fluently and clearly to communicate effectively with all personnel for which they will interact.
- Possess sufficient initiative, interpersonal relationship skills, and social sensitivity such that they can relate constructively to a variety of contacts from a diverse background.
- This position is required to travel to both local and offsite training locations.
- Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
