Role Description
Data Axle is looking for a college level student who can help our team as a Sales Strategies (Government) Intern. This position will work closely with Sales Management leadership on projects such as:
- Analyzing market opportunity (Total Addressable Market—TAM)
- Auditing go-to-market (GTM) positioning
- Benchmarking our offerings vs. select competitors (competitive SWOT)
Responsibilities include:
- Shadowing experienced sales representatives to learn about their approach to prospecting, demonstrating products, and closing deals.
- Identifying and qualifying potential leads through research and networking using tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, and Hunter.
- Accessing 3rd party data sets to size and analyze our TAM.
- Partnering with Sales Enablement resources to audit/benchmark our GTM positioning.
- Developing and presenting to senior Sales leadership the results of your work in the form of presentations, reports, and analyses.
- Assisting the Sales team with administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, preparing proposals, and maintaining accurate records in the CRM.
Qualifications
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Business, Sales, or a related field.
- 6 to 12 months prior work experience is preferred.
- Fluent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Prior Salesforce experience a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
