Job Description
Role Description
We are seeking a high-stakes, "founding operator" to serve as the VP of Revenue Cycle Management for Nvera, our newly formed RCM division. This is not a caretaker role. We are building a best-in-class RCM engine from the ground up to service physician groups across the U.S., and we need a leader to own the blueprint.
Reporting directly to the Sr. VP of Operations, you will establish Nvera’s operational foundation, win its first clients, and scale a high-performance team. This role sits at the intersection of operational excellence and commercial growth; you will transition from designing workflows and selecting tech stacks to leading sales discovery calls with prospective physician groups. If you’ve spent your career inside someone else’s playbook and you’re ready to write your own, this is that opportunity.
AI Fluency Requirement - Non-Negotiable
Nsight Health is an AI-first organization. Every member of our leadership and operations team is expected to actively use AI tools in their day-to-day work - not as a novelty, but as a core productivity multiplier. This role requires genuine curiosity about AI, comfort experimenting with tools like Claude, ChatGPT, and workflow automation platforms, and the judgment to know when AI helps and when it doesn't. If AI makes you uncomfortable, this is not the right role.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement Nvera’s end-to-end RCM operating model; establish KPIs, reporting cadences, and accountability frameworks from day one.
- Own the go-to-market strategy for net-new client acquisition; lead sales conversations from discovery through contract execution as a credible subject matter expert.
- Evaluate and implement RCM platforms; leverage AI and automation to improve billing throughput, denial management, and staff productivity.
- Own divisional P&L from inception; drive measurable improvement in average revenue per claim, DSO, clean claim rate, and claims processed per FTE.
- Build and manage offshore staffing relationships to optimize cost structure and throughput without sacrificing quality or compliance.
- Lead new client onboarding and provide RCM consulting, including provider documentation training to improve coding accuracy and revenue capture.
The Impact You’ll Make
- You will turn a "vision" into a scalable, national RCM powerhouse that sets a new standard for physician group profitability.
- By optimizing the patient's financial journey and reducing denials through tech, you will directly fund Nsight’s ability to reach more underserved patients.
- You will identify and deploy emerging AI tools in the RCM space, proving that technology can solve the "cost to collect" crisis in modern healthcare.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive RCM experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership or divisional ownership role.
- Proven experience in a startup, division launch, or greenfield build-out.
- Demonstrated ability to sell RCM services and close new business with physician groups and practices.
- Deep experience billing across multiple specialty groups and payers in a national setting.
- Genuine enthusiasm for using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to automate manual workflows and enhance leadership productivity.
- Experience leading new client implementations and guiding PM/EMR software selection and deployment.
Preferred
- Certifications: CHBME, CRCE, CPC, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with RCM for Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) or Value-Based Care models.
- Hands-on experience building or managing high-performing offshore RCM operations.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or MHA preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive base pay: $150,000 – $170,000 annually.
- Performance-Based Bonus: Eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance.
- Benefits Include:
- Unlimited PTO
- Medical, Dental, Vision, and supplemental insurance options
- 401(k) Plan with 3.5% Company Match
- Company-provided equipment
