Job Description

Role Description

We are hiring a Premium Billing Consultant in our Workplace Solutions division. In this role, we are seeking a detail-oriented professional who is excited to work with data and numbers. You will provide individualized, responsive service while building strong working relationships with both internal and external customers through the accurate, timely, and thorough disposition of the more complex and sensitive premium and billing processing activities using automated systems, billing methods and business functions.

Training will begin June 1st for 15 weeks.

Training Hours are 8:00am - 4:30pm CST time.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the more sensitive and complex premium processing and auditing functions.
  • Determine the intent of customer inquiries by accurately investigating, analyzing, and resolving all questions and concerns to meet customer expectations while maintaining quality and time service requirements.
  • Provide comprehensive issue resolution through root cause analysis and internal collaboration.
  • May lead cross-functional teams to drive process improvements.
  • Collaborate with field representatives to ensure smooth implementation of changes and recommend alternative solutions to support nonstandard requests.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, deliver training, coaching, and support to team members.
  • Communicate regularly with management on workload management and inventory levels.
  • Conduct audits and prepare reports to track effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in Accounting, Finance, billing reconciliation and/or auditing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organization skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word, with the ability to navigate various software systems.
  • Ability to effectively make sound decisions in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated success establishing priorities and managing multiple assignments concurrently.
  • Promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously.
  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and in a listed location.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Practical experience as a Group Premium Services Specialist or equivalent knowledge.
  • Seasoned knowledge of all GPS business processing functions, including insurance accounting practices, systems technology, and related federal and state regulations.
  • Seasoned knowledge of group insurance concepts and all group product lines with an understanding of the Group Operation and its interrelationships.

  • Estimated Hourly Wage: $28.00 - $29.00, plus annual bonus opportunity.
