We are looking for a Controller who can lead financial operations and drive strategic financial decision-making to ensure operational excellence and compliance as we scale our organization. You’ll be collaborating cross-functionally with senior leadership and operational teams as we achieve our ambitious growth goals. Responsibilities
- Build and maintain short-term and long-term financial models containing actuals and forecasts for all three financial statements.
- Drive an efficient and accurate monthly close process and quarterly financial reporting – including identifying opportunities to accelerate close calendars, improve automation, and streamline processes.
- Ensure all financial information is accurately reflected in the general ledger in compliance with GAAP.
- Drive a performance culture with the team in account analyses, reconciliations, and process and automation improvements.
- Consult with internal business partners on complex transactions to ensure proper accounting and reporting treatment.
- Providing financial accounting, reporting, procedural, and internal control guidance to the team.
- Adhere to all internal policies, audit procedures, and regulations to ensure full compliance exists.
- Partner with FP&A and other business owners to provide insight into actual financial results to inform forecasts and routine plan of records.
- Lead interim and year-end support for external and internal auditors as needed.
- Cultivate an environment that encourages maximum productivity and service effectiveness, personal growth and development, open communications, and teamwork with team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent preferred. Big 4 audit experience is a plus.
- Proven experience in a Controller role or equivalent leadership position in finance.
- Demonstrated ability to build for scale and complexity.
- Strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills with an ability to establish credibility based on expertise within the organization.
- Ability to effectively present information to various levels of an organization.
- Excellent technical accounting and financial reporting skills; well-grounded in GAAP.
- Ability to thrive under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations.
- Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience in working with an ERP system (NetSuite preferred), including successfully enhancing and streamlining processes.
