Role Description
The Mortgage Servicing Oversight Manager is responsible for the management of the compliance oversight function of our subservicer and related third parties. Must possess a working knowledge of mortgage loan servicing, preferably with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac experience.
- Organize and direct the daily activity of mortgage loan servicing oversight to confirm that the Subservicer is timely conducting all aspects of mortgage loan servicing.
- Keep up to date with any changes to laws and regulations that affect the activities of mortgage loan servicing.
- Ensure that established policies and procedures are updated, comply with agency and regulatory requirements, and are followed.
- Actively manage and monitor Subservicer and conduct audits, as necessary.
- Interact with agency and Subservicer representatives, as necessary.
- Communicate to management on servicing trends and issues.
- Additional duties may be assigned by management, as necessary.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 2 years professional mortgage loan servicing experience with substantial background and understanding of mortgage servicing practices in most of the following areas: Escrow Management, General Servicing, Investor Reporting, Custodial Funds Accounting, Default Management, and Quality Control.
- Must have excellent verbal/written communications and organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Must be self-directed, motivated, and comfortable working in an extremely fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-through skills.
