Role Description
We are seeking Part-Time Contact Center Representatives to join our team. While helping customers for the world’s largest purebred dog registry, you will enjoy the benefit of working remotely from your home. We are looking for people who enjoy problem-solving while providing our customers with an amazing experience.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 8:00 pm ET
Hourly Pay is $19.00 per hour
Training Class to begin April 20, 2026
We offer a paid training class that will be held using technology. You will be provided the necessary equipment; however, a hard-wired Internet connection is required. Be assured that you will have plenty of resources and support, which includes coaching and additional training.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with general questions that deal primarily with dog registration by imparting information about AKC’s many registration policies and requirements.
- Evaluate, research, and solve registration problems independently.
- Process registration items as the need arises.
- Provide customers with information about the American Kennel Club and its role in the world of purebred dogs.
- Provide literature and suggestions to customers seeking to purchase a purebred dog by referring them to the AKC website or the National Breed Club.
- Assist customers using the AKC online registration for litters and dogs.
Qualifications
- Must live in North Carolina.
- Must have a direct wired connection to their modem or router, with 10MBps download speeds and nearly 1 MBps upload speeds available within 6 feet of the home office setup. Your computer or router should be physically connected to the modem by a cable. No wireless connection.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Must have a pleasant and articulate telephone voice/manner; a responsible and professional attitude; and be able to function under pressure and maintain composure.
- The ability to learn and retain extensive information about the AKC registration system, as well as other AKC department functions, is essential.
