Job Description

Role Description

A fast-growing Grower/Packer/Shipper is adding a leader to their small sales team. This person will build a sales arm for the company, providing support, feedback, and parameters for a team of reps to work within.

  • Year-round Shipper throughout the Eastern US with growing partners in the Southeast.
  • Company has year-round supply of core veg categories: Carrots, Potatoes, Onions & Lettuce.
  • Position is remote based within the Eastern US or Canada (Southeast U.S. preferred) with some travel.

Qualifications

  • Leading, mobilizing and developing an Account Management team.
  • Deploying the sales strategy according to market conditions and operational realities.
  • Oversee relationships with key customers and strategically stepping in when necessary.
  • Previous sales experience within the veg category (carrots, potatoes, onions and/or leafy greens preferred).
  • Sales background in retail, wholesale and foodservice business segments.
  • Thorough understanding of fresh produce supply base, production, and operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant professional experience.

Requirements

  • The base salary the company may reasonably expect to pay for this role is $100,000 to $140,000.
  • The actual salary will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s skills and experience.
  • The base salary range does not include other compensation elements, which will compose the total compensation package, or other benefits available to the position.
