Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Wealth Planner to partner with advisors and serve as a trusted planning resource for high net worth and ultra high net worth clients. This role focuses on advanced estate, tax, and legacy planning, translating technical strategies into clear, actionable guidance for clients and their professional teams.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with excellent communication skills and a collaborative, client first mindset.

Primary responsibilities include:

Client Planning & Strategy

  • Develop and analyze sophisticated wealth transfer, estate, and tax planning strategies for high net worth clients.
  • Review estate planning documents (wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, ILITs, GRATs, LLCs, etc.) and identify planning opportunities, risks, and areas for refinement
  • Evaluate life insurance strategies for estate liquidity, wealth transfer, and legacy objectives
  • Advise on charitable planning, gifting strategies, and multigenerational planning considerations
  • Independently produce and own the end-to-end creation of customized client deliverables—gather/enter data, model and compare scenarios, develop recommendations, and produce written presentation-ready output.

Advisor & Team Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Senior Wealth Strategists, Private Wealth Teams and Private Bankers to support client engagements - operating independently on assigned engagements while also supporting senior strategists with analysis and deliverables.
  • Participate in client meetings as a subject matter expert, articulating complex strategies in a simple and confident manner
  • Coordinate with outside professionals including estate planning attorneys, CPAs, and insurance advisors to ensure alignment
  • Support business development efforts by helping articulate planning capabilities to prospective clients

Research & Thought Leadership

  • Stay current on changes in tax law, estate planning techniques, and industry trends
  • Contribute to internal planning resources, templates, and best practice frameworks
  • Assist in developing educational content, presentations, or client communications related to wealth strategy topics

Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials
Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience working directly with clients in a financial planning or wealth planning capacity
  • CFP®, JD, CPA, LLM, or Masters in Tax
  • Experience working directly with high net worth and ultra high net worth clients
  • Expert-level proficiency with eMoney financial planning software
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding client service and business objectives
  • Strong executive presence with excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills
  • Experience managing, mentoring, and training team members
  • Deep technical knowledge of financial planning, income tax, estate planning and wealth transfer strategies

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Work Schedule: 4 days in office, light travel for client meetings

Pay Transparency
The salary range for this position is $145,000 - $185,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.

We offer competitive pay, comprehensive medical, dental and vision coverage, retirement benefits, maternity/paternity leave, flexible work arrangements, education reimbursement, wellness programs and more.
