Business Development Specialist - Enid, OK or Remote
Help create the opportunities that drive growth. We are looking for a Business Development Specialist to help expand business opportunities by identifying strong prospects, re-engaging former customers, and building a qualified pipeline for sales. This role is a great fit for someone who is strategic, motivated, and skilled at turning outreach and research into real business conversations.
In this role, you will focus on finding opportunity early, building credibility with prospective customers, uncovering needs, and moving leads to a sales-ready stage for handoff to Sales Directors. This position plays an important role in supporting revenue growth and strengthening the company’s business development efforts.
What you’ll do
Identify and research prospective customers through digital tools, industry sources, databases, and outbound prospecting methods
Re-engage dormant and historical accounts to uncover new business opportunities
Conduct outreach through phone, email, LinkedIn, and related channels
Identify decision-makers and assess customer needs, timing, and fit
Build early trust and move prospects from initial outreach to qualified opportunity
Ask strong discovery questions to uncover business challenges and buying triggers
Handle objections professionally and maintain thoughtful follow-up
Document activity, insights, and pipeline progress in CRM
Partner with Sales Directors by delivering qualified, well-developed opportunities
Provide weekly pipeline updates and support reporting tied to business growth
What we’re looking for
2–5 years of experience in business development, inside sales, lead generation, or a related role
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Confidence engaging business leaders and decision-makers
Ability to ask strategic questions and identify customer needs
Strong organization and follow-up discipline
Experience using CRM platforms; Salesforce preferred
Research-driven with a strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple opportunities and maintain pipeline momentum
Preferred experience
Transportation, logistics, chemicals, or industrial market experience
Experience reactivating dormant accounts or building outbound sales pipeline
Experience using AI-enabled prospecting or research tools
