We optimize the movement of freight by giving shippers and carriers the mobility, enterprise, and visibility software tools they need to run their businesses more efficiently. As the leading provider of Transportation Management Software (TMS), Asset Management Software (AMS), and Fleet Management Software (FMS), we are devoted to propelling companies in the trucking industry toward increased efficiency, lower costs, and optimized operations.

Position Overview

We are seeking a personable and enthusiastic Technical Trainer to join our team. • Partner with Instructional Designers to develop course materials that align with Trimble’s brand standards, team templates, and department style guidelines and have a consistent visual and structural approach.

  • Deliver learning programs, both virtual and onsite.

  • Use Trimble’s learning management system (LMS) and other integrated platforms to administer learning (e.g. load course content, enroll learners, manage simulated training or virtual lab environments, report course metrics).

  • Utilize instructional strategies set by the team that cater to different learning styles and preferences

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project timelines

  • Communicate progress, challenges, and recommendations to project teams and leadership. Keep project progress up to date in team-sanctioned tracking tools.

  • Collect and analyze feedback from stakeholders and customers to continuously improve course offerings.

  • Build knowledge of the transportation industry as well as Trimble’s products, solutions, processes, and customers.

Required Competencies

  • Proven experience in instructor-led training and curriculum development

  • Proficiency with learning management systems or virtual lab environments

  • Demonstrated agility in mastering complex software ecosystems through hands-on, independent experimentation

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with and educate a variety of roles (e.g. IT, operations, end-users)

  • Strong relationship building skills to foster customer trust

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, schedule and meet deadlines, and take initiative to accomplish tasks with minimal supervision in complex situations

  • Strong time management, research, and problem-solving capabilities

Preferences

  • Background in the transportation industry

  • Background in Trimble products

  • Experience with instructional design software, e-learning authoring tools, and multimedia editing tools (Camtasia, Articulate 360, Adobe Suite)
