Job Description

Role Description

RenewCO₂ is revolutionizing chemical and fuel production from carbon dioxide emissions with our Electrocatalytic Carbon Utilization Technology (eCUT) that is low-cost, energy-efficient, and carbon-negative. We enable companies to meet emission reduction targets while producing sustainable materials at a profit.

We are inviting applications for a Commercialization and Business Development internship. This position sits at the intersection of business development, market strategy, and project finance. You'll work directly with RenewCO₂'s leadership team on real commercial challenges as we scale our technology from pilot to deployment. The work is hands-on and high-impact.

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct customer discovery calls with potential offtakers, distributors, and industry partners to map market needs and inform our go-to-market strategy.
  • Support the development of project site economics models, including feedstock costs, product pricing strategy, tax incentive modeling, and revenue projections for potential deployment sites.
  • Assist in building project-level financial models and investment cases used in partner conversations and fundraising.
  • Help synthesize findings into clear memos, slides, and analysis that feed directly into commercial strategy decisions.

Qualifications

  • MBA student or advanced undergraduate with strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Coursework or experience in finance, accounting, or economics; familiarity with energy, chemicals, or sustainability sectors is a plus.
  • Comfortable with financial modeling (Excel/Google Sheets) and synthesizing qualitative insights from conversations.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-moving, unstructured environment.

Requirements

  • Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. Please submit the following documents:
    • Resumé (1 Page)
    • Unofficial or official transcript
    • Diversity statement about how your experiences have contributed to your personal and professional growth
    • Recommendation letter

Benefits

  • Compensation: $21.25 per hour ($10,200 for 12 weeks for summer)
  • Type: Full-time or Part-time
