LocaliQ is seeking a Vice President of Product, Platform to own the vision, strategy, and execution of the internal ad tech platforms that power our digital advertising ecosystem. This role is accountable for building scalable, production‑grade advertising platforms that leverage internal data, AI, and automation to enable advanced targeting, optimization, and measurement across search, social, and emerging channels.
This leader owns the platform roadmap—the core systems, data foundations, workflows, and tooling that enable the creation and activation of complex, data‑driven advertising audiences. These platforms are relied upon by product portfolio teams, sales, and client success to plan, execute, and optimize advertising at scale. Success in this role requires deep ad tech domain expertise, strong technical product leadership, close partnership with Engineering, and a pragmatic approach to applying AI to real advertising, data, and optimization problems.
The ideal candidate has direct experience building and scaling internal ad tech platforms in data‑intensive environments, including systems for audience segmentation, targeting, attribution, and optimization. They bring technical credibility, understand how to responsibly activate first‑party and internal data for advertising use cases, and know how to drive leverage across a multi‑product advertising organization—ideally within digital advertising, ad tech, or closely adjacent ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Product Ownership
- Own the end-to-end platform product vision and roadmap for LocaliQ’s internal ad tech platform
- Build shared capabilities that support multiple product lines and operational teams
- Ensure platform decisions balance near-term enablement with long-term scalability
- Reduce fragmentation, duplication, and accumulated technical debt across the organization
AI, Data, and Automation Enablement
- Identify and prioritize high-impact opportunities to apply AI and intelligent automation to internal platforms
- Partner with Engineering to improve:
- Data quality, normalization, and enrichment
- Workflow automation and operational efficiency
- System intelligence and decision support
- Ensure AI-driven solutions are production-ready, measurable, and tied to clear business outcomes
Technical Product Leadership
- Translate complex technical systems and architectural concepts into clear product strategy and priorities
- Partner closely with Engineering leadership on sequencing, tradeoffs, and delivery
- Establish strong product discipline around requirements, prioritization, and execution
- Operate comfortably across infrastructure, data platforms, APIs, and internal tooling
Product Portfolio & Client Success Enablement
- Partner closely with Engineering and product portfolio leaders to translate platform capabilities into practical, high-impact solutions that enable the broader product organization and client success teams
- Treat product portfolio leaders as key stakeholders and customers of the platform
- Build platform capabilities that improve speed, reliability, and consistency for client-facing teams
Digital Advertising Context
- Ensure internal platforms effectively support digital advertising use cases including campaign execution, reporting, optimization, and partner integrations
- Understand the constraints and realities of ad-tech ecosystems, including data dependencies, APIs, attribution, and privacy considerations
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and grow a team of senior platform-focused product managers
- Set a high bar for technical rigor, execution quality, and stakeholder communication
- Coach PMs to operate effectively in complex, dependency-heavy environments
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- 12+ years of product management experience, including senior leadership roles
- Experience in digital advertising, ad tech, martech, or media platforms
- Proven ownership of internal platforms, infrastructure products, or highly technical systems
- Strong technical fluency across APIs, data pipelines, distributed systems, and cloud platforms
- Experience applying AI, ML, or advanced automation to solve data or operational problems
- Demonstrated ability to partner deeply with Engineering leadership
- Background supporting large-scale internal data and workflow systems
- Prior hands-on technical experience (engineering, data, or technical PM)
