Location: Remote (U.S. Based) | Occasional Travel Required

Position Overview

Vertical Mechanical Group (VMG) is seeking a motivated and results-driven Bilingual Recruiter (English/Spanish) to join our Human Resources team. This role focuses on recruiting hourly field and shop employees across our HVAC, plumbing, sheet metal, and mechanical construction divisions.

This is a fully remote role, with occasional travel required to attend job fairs, trade school events, and workforce development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience recruiting for hourly, skilled trades, or construction roles and will play a key role in helping VMG continue to grow its workforce.

In addition to recruiting responsibilities, this role will support broader HR initiatives and employee programs, working closely with the HR team to support VMG's expanding operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for hourly field and shop roles including HVAC, plumbing, sheet metal, warehouse, and service positions

  • Source and screen candidates in both English and Spanish

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and hiring timelines

  • Develop recruiting strategies to attract skilled trades and construction talent

  • Attend job fairs, hiring events, and workforce development programs to promote VMG career opportunities

  • Build relationships with trade schools, community organizations, and workforce training programs

  • Maintain and manage candidate pipelines for future hiring needs

  • Conduct phone screens and coordinate interviews with hiring teams

  • Maintain accurate candidate records within the applicant tracking system (ATS)

  • Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the hiring process

  • Support onboarding coordination and HR processes as needed

  • Assist with HR initiatives, employee engagement efforts, and internal communications


Qualifications

  • Fluent in English and Spanish (required)

  • 2+ years of recruiting experience focused on hourly roles

  • Experience recruiting in construction, mechanical, HVAC, or skilled trades environments preferred

  • Experience sourcing candidates through job boards, networking, and social media platforms

  • Comfortable working in a remote environment while collaborating with HR and hiring managers

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple open positions simultaneously

  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruiting tools
