Job Description

• Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute a comprehensive national fundraising strategy across foundation, corporate, and individual giving. • Set and achieve annual and multi-year fundraising goals in alignment with the organization’s strategic plan. • Oversee donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies to deepen engagement and retention. • Analyze fundraising performance data to guide strategy, investment decisions, and continuous improvement. • Provide centralized training, resources and support to Executive Directors who are accountable for fundraising in their states. • Ensure compliance with all ethical, legal, and regulatory standards related to fundraising activities. • Provide strategic oversight of marketing, communications, and brand positioning to support fundraising, member recruitment, and mission impact. • Monitor brand performance and market trends to adapt messaging and outreach strategies. • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing development and marketing teams. • Foster cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment between programs, finance, and development.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business, marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in nonprofit development or advancement
  • Demonstrated success building and leading large-scale, multi-channel fundraising programs with measurable results
  • Experience overseeing marketing, communications, or brand strategy in a mission-driven organization
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with major donors, foundations, and corporate partners
  • Strong strategic planning, financial acumen, and data-driven decision-making skills
  • Experience leading and developing senior-level teams in a complex organization
  • Ability to partner effectively with executive leadership and boards in a national nonprofit environment
