Job Description

• Develops process steam distribution and control systems for industrial applications. • Leverages experience with gas-fired boilers, electrified boilers, heat exchangers, electric heaters, steam valves, and steam control systems. • Leads the development of process steam systems for pressure/heat-augmentation and distribution. • Performs thermodynamic analysis of steam systems using modeling and simulation tools. • Defines requirements and specifications, and proposes optimal solutions through technical analysis and cost/benefit trade-off analysis.

Job Requirements

A minimum of a M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics, Systems Engineering, Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in steam and heat distribution system design or operation in the petrochemical and chemical industries.
Experience with Heat Exchanger Design, Steam Valves, Safety System Integration, Mechanical Actuators, Valves, Control Systems, Safety Systems, and Instrumentation.
Experience preparing test procedures, and defining operating limits.
Experience with I&C systems for steam generation, steam valves, safety systems, and integration of closed-loop SCADA controlled systems and industrial processes.
Must be eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
