Job Description
Role Description
MADE Hoops is looking for a tech-forward AI & Digital Marketing Intern to join us this Spring. This isn't a traditional "coffee-run" internship; we are looking for a builder who is obsessed with the intersection of sports marketing and emerging technology. You will help us move faster by building AI agents and diving head-first into emerging AI technology, designing automated workflows, and scaling our creative operations through the latest LLMs, current tech stacks and automation platforms. This is an unpaid internship intended for students seeking hands-on experience in sports marketing and AI implementation. The position may be used for academic credit if applicable.
Responsibilities
-
AI Operations & Agent Development
- Agent Building: Design and deploy custom AI agents (via Claude Co-Work or Code, or specialized platforms) to assist with copywriting, data analysis, and creative brainstorming.
- Workflow Automation: Use tools like Zapier to bridge gaps between our marketing stack (Email, CRM, Social) and AI outputs.
- Prompt Engineering: Develop and maintain a library of high-performing prompts to standardize brand voice across various marketing channels.
-
Performance & Growth Marketing
- Data Synthesis: Leverage AI tools to analyze large datasets from paid media (Meta/Google Ads) to identify trends and conversion opportunities.
- Automated Reporting: Assist in generating automated reports within internal data warehouse systems that pull real-time metrics, reducing manual data entry.
- Audience Segmentation: Use AI-driven tools to identify and segment high-value audience lists for camps, tournaments, and merchandise drops.
-
Creative Strategy & Ops
- Multimodal Creation: Assist in generating and editing creative assets for paid and organic campaign use across our events and merchandise departments (e.g., Google Nano Banana, Google Pomelli).
- Brief Optimization: Use AI to turn rough campaign ideas into structured creative briefs for our design team.
Qualifications
- AI Enthusiast: You aren't just "aware" of what AI is; you are familiar with what it can do, and have experimented with building, using automation tools, or testing image generators.
- Systems Thinker: You enjoy figuring out how to make two different software programs "talk" to each other.
- Sports & Culture: A passion for basketball and the MADE Hoops brand.
-
Tool Proficiency: Familiarity (or a strong desire to master) the following:
- LLMs: ChatGPT (Plus/Team), Claude, or Perplexity.
- Automation: Zapier
- Marketing Tech: Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads Manager, Loveable, Data Platforms
- Adaptability: Comfortable in a fast-paced environment where the "best tool for the job" might change every two weeks.
What You’ll Gain
- Portfolio Building: You won't just say you "know" AI; you'll leave with a portfolio of agents and automations you actually built and deployed.
- Strategic Exposure: Real-world experience in how a high-growth sports brand uses technology to scale.
- Modern Skillset: Mastery of the "AI-Human" workflow that is becoming the gold standard in the marketing industry.
Company Description
We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
