Role Description
We are looking for a Product Manager/Sr. Product Manager (Employee Benefits Solutions) to join our Benefits Solutions Team in a remote or hybrid setting from an Applied Systems office.
The Product Manager/Sr. Product Manager - Benefits will define and execute on the strategy for Applied’s Benefits products. You will be a key leader in developing and executing product strategies across various functions within the organization.
This role involves:
- Identifying problem statements
- Conducting market research
- Driving alignment with feature and product prioritization based on user needs
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver successful products
The role will focus on:
- Tailoring the agency management system experience for Benefits users
- Connecting carrier and partner solutions to digitize the round-trip of insurance
- Driving insights by leveraging Applied’s portfolio of BI solutions
What You’ll Do
- Prioritize and manage the product backlog, translating requirements into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria using Agile methodologies
- Lead the roadmap and release planning for a product or multiple related products
- Contribute to product roadmap planning activities to ensure alignment with market demands and strategic objectives
- Ensure the development team can be continually fed by planning, monitoring, and analyzing the requirements
- Collaborate with various teams to determine a clear understanding of business problems
- Establish exploratory research topics that influence the long-term strategy for a product
- Lead the creation and presentation of strategic business cases to product leadership and executives
- Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to develop a financially and technically feasible roadmap
- Drive product activation to ensure new products or features/releases are ready for delivery
- Own the Adoption dashboard for platform solutions
- Define detailed design specifications for software projects
- Informally mentor junior product team members
Qualifications
- 5 - 8+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, or Business Analysis within Agile
- Experience in the Employee Benefits domain
- Proven track record in developing and implementing data-driven products and solutions
- Experience with APIs
- Strong Agile/Scrum discipline
- Familiarity with data analytics, data visualization tools, and reporting tools
- Excellent communication skills
- Technical proficiency across full-stack applications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in related disciplines
