Role Description
HHMR is a boutique litigation firm representing builders, developers, and contractors throughout Colorado in complex construction defect and casualty matters. We are seeking attorneys with 2–6 years of litigation experience who want meaningful, hands-on involvement in cases and a clear path for professional growth.
- This role is ideal for attorneys who want to do more than support cases.
- Attorneys at HHMR take depositions, draft and argue motions, work directly with clients and experts, and participate in case strategy from the outset.
- Construction litigation experience is helpful but not required.
- Strong litigation fundamentals, sound judgment, and a willingness to learn are essential.
- You will work alongside experienced attorneys who are recognized leaders in construction litigation.
- Collaborative, team-oriented environment focused on achieving excellent results efficiently.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in Colorado.
- 2–6 years of civil litigation experience, including experience with written discovery, motion practice, and depositions.
- Strong legal writing and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Interest in construction defect and/or general liability litigation, with a willingness to develop subject matter expertise.
- Professional judgment, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, insurers, experts, and opposing counsel.
- Proficiency with legal research tools and case management systems.
Requirements
- Litigate construction defect and general liability cases from inception through resolution.
- Take and defend depositions, draft and argue motions, and participate in mediations and trial preparation.
- Play an active role in developing and executing case strategy in collaboration with handling attorneys.
- Communicate directly with clients, insurers, experts, and opposing counsel.
- Manage case files and advance matters efficiently in accordance with firm processes and expectations.
- Work within a collaborative team environment with mentorship and training to support professional development.
