The role:
Entegris is seeking a dynamic Senior Buyer who will be responsible for direct material procurement activities across the US. The successful candidate will be a take-charge individual recognized as a strategic buying and supplier negotiations expert who will collaborate with manufacturing, quality, planning, logistics, as well as suppliers to identify and drive total delivered cost savings, security of supply, innovation and process improvements.
What you'll do:
Manage operational procurement excellence to achieve objectives for delivery, lead time, cost and invoice reconciliation;
Demand Sensing and Modelling – collaborate with multiple production teams to capture material requirements, consolidate demand signals and execute accurate and timely procurement functions;
Inventory Planning - Calculate, manage and audit key procurement parameters (Economic Order Qty, Replenishment Method, Safety Stock);
Exception Management – Efficiently identify and manage procurement exceptions while focusing on continuous improvement of procurement processing;
Supplier Relationship Management – Effectively “coach” suppliers to be best in class partners. Work with Commodity Managers and Supplier Quality Engineers to optimize supplier performance. Provide input to sourcing strategies and develop internal/supplier relationships that extract maximum value from the current and potential supplier base;
P2P Automation – Be a subject matter expert in Procure-to-Pay automation implementation;
Ensure key metric reporting is in place and lead efforts in problem solving, providing root cause analysis and continuous improvement solutions;
Ensure that company purchasing practices and strategies are continuously challenged and refined;
Continuously evaluate and assess supplier performance reports consistent with agreed to requirements to ensure consistency in quality, service and delivery targets.
What we seek:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience;
5+ Years progressive experience in Supply Chain Management, or Purchasing;
Excellent knowledge of operations management and supply chain processes in a large organization;
Ability to build relationships and influence internal and external stakeholders;
A passion for winning as a team, achieving results and a desire for continued success in a growth environment.
